Music is my Wonderwall

Song writing always seems impressive and admirable and damn near impossible to do in my eyes.

How can those people get pen and paper and write something that moves millions of people to tears, fills them with joy or make them remember a moment from their past?

Then you realise, song writing is just poetry with a tune.

I’m no Bob Dylan or John Lennon but I can appreciate amazing lyrics and music as much as the next person but I want to be able to understand every aspect of music because, beside writing, it really is the *insert cliche comment* to me.

Until I have a sudden creative blast I’ll leave the musicians to do their musical stuff and I’ll just write some blogs about them.

I’ve had this song on repeat all day, getting me through hard essay writing times.

Today is gonna be the day
That they’re gonna throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now

Back beat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I’m sure you’ve heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don’t know how

Because maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you’re my wonderwall

Today was gonna be the day
But they’ll never throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realized what you’re not to do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now

And all the roads that lead you there are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don’t know how

[Repeat x2]
I said maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you’re my wonderwall
