Scottish convention for those starting in the music industry

Interested in music? The Wide Days Scottish Music Industry conference is for you.

Taking place on the 10th and 11th of April (a Thursday and Friday) music enthusiasts, or anyone for that matter, can go along to the Edinburgh based event and hear speeches from music publishers, independent live music promoters alongside photographers and much more.

This year’s seminars include a look into:

  • The role of Indie promoters
  • The fine art of publishing
  • Selling music online
  • Online Toolbox and much more

Starting in 2010 by Wide Days founder Olaf Furniss the two day event is great for anyone who wants to get a head start in the music industry.

Speakers at this year’s event include Jay Taylor from The Rugby Lounge venue in Manchester beside other panel speakers.

Musical speakers include featuring Scottish Jazz Federation Director, Cathie Rae, folk musician Findlay Napier and Dave Hook, frontman with Scotland’s biggest hip-hop act, Stanley Odd.

The event, which was set up to allow music industry veterans give advice to those who wish to enter the industry, will be held at the University of Edinburgh’s Teviot Row House and tickets are still available.
