Arctic Monkeys closed the Main Stage at T in the Park 2014 having an impromptu jam session with Disclosure.

Approaching solo (like the Indie God he thinks he is) for an encore, frontman Alex Turner started an acoustic version of ‘A Certain Romance’ that was drowned out by Disclosure’s simultaneous and audible set on the Radio 1 stage.

Not one to let a little competition stop him Turner went on to say, “I might as well play to the rhythm of them” before re-starting the song with the T crowd singing along to both Turner and Disclosure.

If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

Arctic Monkeys were out to impress and give Balado the send off it deserves as T in the Park moves from the iconic site to Strathallan Castle in 2015. Closing the festival with ‘R U Mine?’ the Sheffield rockers performed like the superstars they are and made the last night at Balado one to remember.
