Blondie drummer Clem Burke has revealed that the band’s current world tour may be the last for the New York rockers.
During a recent interview with Burke, 58, it was announced that singer Debbie Harry has hinted that their current world tour would be the last time Blondie hit the road.
Burke said: “By the time we get to beautiful Vancouver, we will have toured Europe, played Glastonbury and done a number of big festivals in North America.
As for the rumours of the last tour, we’ve decided we’ll live forever. But Debbie, is older than me and has hinted it could be time. Obviously without her, there is no Blondie.”
Debbie Harry, now aged 69, and co have recently performed at Glastonbury festival alongside dates in London and Sheffield last month.
Blondie have recently released two-disc greatest hits album ‘Blondie 4(0) Ever’ alongside new record, ‘Ghosts of Download’ the band’s first release since 2011.
Blondie will play:
August 19 – Bristol O2 Academy
August 20 – Leicester O2 Academy
August 27 – Glasgow O2 ABC
