First Aid Kit has compared Jack White to Willy Wonka on Australian Radio as they covered his song ‘Love Interruption’.
After recording a single at the former White Stripes singer’s Third Man studio in Nashville, the Swedish folk duo spoke about their time with White as they performed a session for Triple J’s Like A Version show.
Speaking about their time with White, who First Aid Kit have supported on tour in the past, Klara Söderberg said they were approached out of the blue and asked to record a single with the Raconteur leading to a cover recording of Buffy Sainte-Marie’s ‘Universal Soldier’ in Nashville. Söderberg said of the experience: “It was really weird… You can’t take photos in his studio, it’s very secretive.”
First Aid Kit is gearing up to perform a UK tour in September starting in Glasgow and finishing at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
First Aid Kit will play:
Glasgow Old Fruitmarket (September 16)
Belfast Empire Music Hall (17)
Manchester Albert Hall (20)
